Executive Committee Elections Update

The Executive Committee Elections will be held this year during Nationals in June at the annual USPSA board meeting. The Executive Committee officers up for election this year are:

  • President
  • Executive Vice President
  • Secretary

Any individual, 18 years of age and older, who is a member in good standing of
USPSA, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin or physical disability, may be eligible for office to the United States Power Soccer Association.

Each officer shall be elected for a term of 2 years. An officer may serve as many terms as elected.

Below is a short summary of the duties of officers up for election:

President: The President is directly responsible to the Executive Committee and the Advisory Board for all business and operations of the USPSA. The President is responsible for the image and development of the sport with mainstream soccer and the key leaders within those organizations. The President will also be the contact with FIPFA and all business related to international competition and development of the sport, its guidelines, and will attend all meetings held for the Congress. The President will work closely with the Executive Vice President on all marketing and development projects.

Executive Vice President: The Executive Vice President will oversee the general business of USPSA as directed by the President. The Executive Vice President will monitor and facilitate the activities of all committees, and provide regular reports to the President and work with the President to insure the policies and procedures are carried out as determined by the Executive Committee and set forth in the Constitution and Bylaws, and international rules and regulations. The Executive Vice President will develop a marketing program to support the image of the USPSA and advance the development of the sport. Key committee responsibilities are the I T and Marketing committees. The Executive Vice President is responsible for communication to members and ancillary organizations via newsletter and or e-newsletter on a regularly scheduled basis. The Executive Vice President is the primary board member responsible for the development of sponsors and coordinates fund development for the organization. The Executive Vice President will ensure the USPSA brand is maintained and its continuity and integrity use is not abused.

Secretary: The Secretary will be responsible for keeping the records of all meetings of the Association and the Executive Committee, and distribute said minutes according to the policy and procedures of the Association. The Secretary is responsible for the administration and management of registration of all members. The Secretary is responsible for communication of posting of all sanctioned game score sheet on the website and its administration. All communication to the website must go through the Secretary’s office for recording of items posted on the website. The Secretary will work closely with the Executive Vice President to ensure timely communication of information to the membership. The Secretary will communicate to the Executive Committee status of all teams who are not in good standing with registration, qualification, and eligibility matters. The Secretary will also communicate the same to member teams. The Secretary is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of personal records of Executive Board and all Members of the organization.
