Jim and Nancy Dornan have shared a passion of making a difference in people's lives since they first met. Their son Eric was born with Spina Bifida in 1974. With more than 25 separate brain surgeries and many other medical challenges behind him, Eric reached adulthood with a serious need for ongoing care and support.
In the search for the right person, the Dornans met Fernando Ruelas. Fernando shared a passion for the disabled and disadvantaged. He believed in people's potential and always demanded excellence in all that he did. At the young age of 30, Fernando was called to his heavenly home. "Our dream was always to do something together to help others in need"... thus, in 2002, the Fernando Foundation was launched.
